The Australian David Gillespie did his own research, as recounted in his book "Toxic Oils" (toxic oils).

And he concluded that some vegetable oils are "dangerous to health".

"Its purported `benefits` are based on the false assumption that saturated fat is bad [for cholesterol], but there is no scientific evidence on such a thing and some studies have actually proven otherwise," Gillespie told the BBC. World.
