NASA managed to find the presence of sugar in the remains of meteorites which crashed millions of years ago against the planet.

A group of researchers belonging to NASA has reported that sugar particles were found in meteorites that hit the Earth millions of years ago.

The Bio-essential type of sugars was found in the remains of stellar rocks, where a lot of other biologically important compounds have also been found.

Recall that the scientific world states that, through meteorites, vital elements arrived on Earth, since various chemical reactions inside these created the essential elements for life.

In the study published by the International Agency, the group of experts analyzed a total of three different groups of meteorites, including one that crashed in Australia in 1969 and which dates back billions of years.

The researchers used a special extraction method, with which they could verify which were the main components that were formed inside these space rocks.

After a chemical process based on hydrochloric acid and water, the researchers captured various types of sugars, such as Arabinose and Xylose, but without a doubt one that really surprised them was that they found remains of Ribose.

The latter is so important that we even have it integrated into human biology, since we can find it in RNA molecules (ribonucleic acid) and its main function is to deliver messages directly to DNA in order to enhance the construction of proteins for our body.

This finding also makes researchers wonder that RNA evolved long before DNA on Earth, providing important signals to experts of how life could have formed millions of years ago when many asteroids collided with the planet, entering essential elements. for life.
